Fringe Shift consists of Sawyer, Matt and Gio. Forming from a previous incarnation of Fringe Shift, Sawyer found Gio how anybody else finds a person nowadays: Facebook. They got to together to jam, and immediately felt the chemistry between them. They started practicing together as a band early January of 2012, and continue to put out new music and play shows regularly.

Sawyer Thompson started playing guitar at the age of 12 after being  given an electric guitar instead of a violin, like he had hoped. He’s taken lessons off and on throughout the years that he’s played, including from Spotlight Studios teacher Chris Griffin, but remains primarily self-taught. Sawyer started singing after a few years of playing guitar, wanting to  recreate more of the songs he was already learning to play.  Prompted by a friend in junior high, he started writing music, and pulled together the first incarnation of Fringe Shift.

Sawyer now teaches guitar several days a week at Spotlight Studios, and plans to attend college for audio engineering.

Gio will go here. There will be a whole paragraph about Gio. Gio gio, gio gio. Gio was born at 20 Leamington Street, Openshaw, Manchester, England, on 30 December 1945. At age 14, he began his acting career, appearing on the British television soap opera Coronation Street, which was produced at Granada Studios by Granada Television in Manchester.

^ I dig this, Sawyer! Thanks :) <3 -Gio

Giovanni has been playing percussion since early elementary school. He started off in junior high band and found his love for performing. When starting out, Giovanni took lessons for 4 or 5 months, but soon found self-teaching was most effective. Rock drums are his passion, but he likes everything including but not limited to; things that are fun. “Cats are sick. My drums are green.”
His influences are; good to really good drums. On a scale from good to really good, drums are really good.

Since their formation in 2008, Fringe Shift has been expanding their range of venues, and put out a full length EP.
