Raindrops on Roses, and Jamming in Basements…

All 11 November 2012 | 0 Comments

We’ve been keeping ourselves very busy and just wanted to share a little of what we’re up to. We just finished recording vocals for two more songs set for our EP – Around, and the as of yet unnamed “piano song.” We hope to have that ready for everybody as soon as possible!

Last Friday me and Gio got the cool experience of playing in the basement of Mr. John Thornburg, our friend fellow musician in the band Jar. Both Jar and Gio and I (with the help of Russ Thornburg filling in on bass while Matt was stuck at work) put on a small set, which we broadcasted live on Jar’s livestream account. We hope to make this sort of thing more common, more planned, and more exciting in the months to come, so watch out real soon for our next broadcasting date! It’s free to watch in, and you get to chat with us in between songs. You can see some excerpts from last Friday here.

As we begin to go through KTUB’s ¬†artist development program, we will be writing a lot more music in the coming months, as well as playing significantly fewer shows (but only temporarily!). We hope this will allow us to focus some more on writing and recording the coolest stuff we can possibly play for you guys, and we’ll make sure to share with you along the way. Make sure to come check out our shows in late November and December, as the first several months of 2013 we will be MIA.

Hope to see you soon, and as always, let us know what you think in the comments!
